I am a London based guitarist and audio engineer, currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for a MA in Jazz Guitar. I have been playing live and recording regularly around the UK and abroad for over a decade, and I've played a wide variety of music on recording sessions and gigs, from folk to blues, to jazz and swing. I also specialise in other areas of guitar including slide.
I have been teaching private students and classes for more than 5 years. Studying under some of the best musicians in the UK, including Colin Oxley and Al Cherry, provides me with a wealth of knowledge for guitarists of all abilities. Lessons are always tailored to the individual and include melody, harmony, rhythm, soloing, lyricism, improvisation, notation, advanced techniques, playing in groups & more.
Additionally, I am an experienced audio engineer in both studio and live environments including recording, mixing, FOH, monitors, systems tuning and line array flying. This combined with my BSc (1st Class Hons) in Popular Music Production gives me a unique angle to teaching, applying skills invaluable for today’s musicians. I've worked for and with engineers such as Nick Taylor (Disney+, Netflix), Sage Anthony (Buddy Guy, Tedeschi Trucks Band) and Freddie Light (Kendrick Lamar, Elton John) and in studios such as Abbey Road, The Ranch Production House and Room With A View.
